A Prayer for Priests and Bishops
O God, who hast appointed Thine only-begotten Son
to be the eternal High Priest for the glory of Thy Majesty
and the salvation of mankind;
grant that they whom He hath chosen
to be His ministers and the stewards of His mysteries,
may be found faithful in the fulfillment
of the ministry which they have received.
Through the same Christ Our Lord.

Almighty God, who called your servant
Vincent de Paul to serve You in the
Person of those in need:
Grant that we, following his example,
may fulfill your commandments
by defending and supporting the poor,
and by loving You with all our hearts,
through Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, One God,
for ever and ever.
