Revelations of St. Bridget of Sweden, by an unknown artist, 15th Century

For a long time St. Bridget wanted to know the number of blows Our Lord received during His Passion. He one day appeared to her and said: “I received 5480 blows on My Body. If you wish to honor them in some way, say 15 Our Fathers and 15 Hail Marys with the following prayers (which He taught her) for a whole year. When the year is up, you will have honored each one of My Wounds.”

Psalms 37:23-24

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.

Psalms 37:23-24

A Prayer to Our Lady of Mount Carmel

O most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel,
fruitful vine, splendor of Heaven,
Blessed Mother of the Son of God,
Immaculate Virgin, assist me in this my necessity.
O Star of the Sea, help me and show me herein
that you are my Mother.

O Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Queen of Heaven and earth,
I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart,
to succor me in this my necessity.
There are none that can withstand your power.
O show me herein that you are my Mother.

O Mary, conceived without sin,
pray for us that have recourse to thee. (3 times)

Sweet Mother,
I place this cause in your hands. (3 times)
Amen.
